ragamuffin loves... summer's just around the corner!

What a day today! Just delightful; warm, sunny and breezy all day! Makes us want to waft around in wafty things, like these divine polka dot silk and linen vests from Grizas. We've got so much new stock to share with you, we're beside ourselves. Here's one of those things you can't do without this season... Aptly named, this 'cute cardigan' from Flax, is a linen cover-up that comes in a flat weave or a loose gauzy weave in lots of different rich summer shades. The perfect light layer to throw on of a chilly evening over a dress or simply with jeans and a tee. The shop is a festival of colour again, I think we've out-done ourselves this year!

ragamuffin loves...scarves!!!

We are all happy to admit to being complete and utter scarf-a-holics here at ragamuffin! Just when you thought you had more than enough, another delivery comes in and you just have to have one! We know many of our customers are just as addicted, "Don't let me go home with another scarf", they cry, "I have so many, I don't need any more!", they protest, whilst merrily trying them all on! Scarves are just too tempting - they can change an outfit, add a splash of colour or a touch of sophistication all whilst keeping the chill off!

ragamuffin loves...a good hat!

Gosh, what blustery weather we are having! Luckily we keep a good stock of hats all year round! We are particularly loving this wool felt collection by MTM hats.

You can channel your inner flapper with a pretty wool cloche, decorated with big,blousey flowers.

Or go for a roomy boucle beret, perfect if you've got lots of curly hair! We've styled both with a little Shirley Pinder scarf...she's coming to see us in early March so that we can choose some more of her beautiful scarves - we'll post pictures as soon as they arrive!

ragamuffin loves...fabulous felt!

We came upon the amazing Kate Ramsay, felter extrordinaire, whilst in Dublin recently and instructed her to make us some of her fabulous felt accessories at once! They are here already - adding more than a splash of colour to both of our shops!

All of Kate's pieces are made using natural, undyed silk/ wool fibres and are individually dyed meaning that no two items are ever quite the same.

As well as scarves, Kate also makes these wonderful, giant felt flowers - pin to chunky knits, jackets or bags for drama!

We think they'd also look wild worn in the hair - we made a simple hair wrap and added the flower to the crown...

Now we've gone headpiece crazy! Here are a couple of smaller felt corsages pinned to a hair wrap made from a hank of our colinette yarn!

Well, we're feeling the love today: we couldn't resist showing you our lovely new deliveries of dresses and pretty cotton jersey separates from Out of Xile and sumptuous silk scarves from Diana Irani, working sooo beautifully with Privatsachen's silks and linens. Proper romantic dressing-up clothes for grown-ups; don't save it for special occasions, just throw it on with a pair of chunky leather boots, the luxury fabrics will make you feel gorgeous every day! There's bubble skirts, crinkled silk, ruffles, flower-trimmed knits, ruched cuffs, mother-of-pearl buttons... everything a girl needs!

ragamuffin loves...a bit of sunshine!

At last a sunny day on Skye! It's been gloomy for a few weeks now but yesterday's blue skies were the perfect backdrop to take some snaps of the new additions to our jellycat family! We have the fabulous Orla Ostrich - every bit the glamourpuss with her long eye lashes (real of course!)

The oh-so-sweet Fuddle-wuddle Pup - he is so soft and looks a bit forlorn but he's really quite a happy chap! Also, back by popular demand...

It's Matilda Hen! She comes Mum sized as pictured or baby sized. We are convinced she's always up to something - she has a wicked glint in her eye! We have lots of other jolly Jellycats in stock - they were just feeling a tad camera shy yesterday!
